Empowering the LGBTQ+ Music Industry Workforce
Queer Capita is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the professional development of LGBTQ+ and Allied professionals in the music industry. We represent a community of over 1,000 members employed at 200+ global companies across music, entertainment, media, and technology. Since 2021, we have hosted over 120 hours of networking, enabling hundreds of new peer-to-peer connections.
Our Core Impact Areas
Community Building: We host "safe space" activations and networking events in major music hubs like Nashville, NYC, and Los Angeles to foster authentic professional connections.
Career Mobility: Our team creates resources and programming focused on inclusive hiring, mentorship, and leadership training to accelerate career advancement.
Equitable Access: We fundraise to ensure all programs remain free for community members, removing financial barriers and "gate-keeping" in the entertainment sector.

Northeast: New York City
West Coast: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland
